Spectrum Healthcare
Clinical & Domiciliary Services
Spectrum Healthcare began its inception in 2009 as a recruitment agency supplying Healthcare Assistants to nursing homes and hospitals. Over the years, Spectrum Healthcare gained a great reputation and services started to be required by Social Services departments to provide personal care within community settings. Spectrum Healthcare was privileged to receive awards in recent years, such as The Aneurin Bevan Partnership Working and the Learning Disability Confident awards .
Spectrum Healthcare later applied for registration with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to register as a domiciliary support provider. Reputations from nursing homes exceeded and Service User packages were commissioned by Social Care and Clinical commissioning groups. Service Users started to see Spectrum Healthcare as a leading provider of Healthcare staffing in Wales and the South West of England.
Staff training was developed in line with mandatory requirements for domiciliary and complex clinical packages. Healthcare Assistants were educated fully and updated with new legislation and regulation in line with the new 'Regulation of Inspection of Social Care Wales Act 2016. Spectrum Healthcare supply Registered Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, and Operating Department Practitioners to NHS trusts, nursing homes, community complex care and home care throughout Wales and the South of England.
We now provide specialist clinical care, which include clinical-led packages by Registered Nurses and qualified QCF Level 5 managers.
Some Service User's like to retain their independence by staying in their own homes; Spectrum Healthcare provides robust systems which monitor our performance by constantly monitoring and improving our practices. We do this by spot- checking, working with, and educating staff, with an end result of safe practice with excellent outcome for our Service User's futures and well-being. The risk management systems make our information immediately accessible. We carry out regular quality audits, six-weekly supervisions, and high-quality staff vetting and recruitment processes.
All Healthcare Assistants begin at Band 2, and are trained throughout to a standard of Band 4. All undertake a Health and Social Care diploma, and in Wales are registered with Social Care Wales. Some of our Healthcare Assistants can access the Open University, to begin Nurse training with Spectrum Healthcare, with our Registered Nurse mentors. Other healthcare assistants who do not wish to be Nurses can achieve up to QCF Level 4, which is more of a supervisory level within their peer group.
